We are so excited to be writing this post for you today.
It’s been a busy past few months for us here at FameThemes and so there hasn’t been much going on around here as far as content goes.
But for good reason.
We’ve been hard at work to unveil a brand new FameThemes!
From our website to our ticketing system, we’ve been doing a lot to update our theme shop to make it even better for you.
In this post, we’ll be giving you a rundown of what we’ve been upto.
Main site design improved
You may have noticed something different about our website.
That’s because it’s been updated!
We are super excited to be unveiling our newly designed theme shop.
We’ve updated the colors, layout, and made our design responsive so that you can browse the site on mobile and still enjoy a the experience.
But we’ve done more than just update the aethetics.
Moved to Help Scout ticketing system.
Here are FameThemes, we want to make sure that we are offing top notch support to our customer.
In the past, we used a support forum here on the blog that worked rather well. However, we knew that we could do even better.
After reading the review on Yoast about why they switch to Help Scout, we felt that switching to this platform would be the best option for us to provide a better overall service to you.
As you can see from the photo above, the interface in our Support section of FameTheme is very pleasant and easy to follow.
From now on, to ask us a support question you can simply log into your FameThemes dashboard, navigate to Tickets tabs and there will be a “ticket submit” form to make the process as simple and easy as possible.
As an added bonus, you will also be able to see a list of your previous tickets.
Theme licensing changes
One of the major changes to theme shop is one that didn’t come easy for us.
That chance was regarding our licensing updates.
Previously, we offered lifetime updates and support to all purchases of our themes. However, we’ve found that as much as we wanted to keep this option it’s not possible in order for us to sustain our business and to keep providing the level quality that we cling to.
So here’s is what we’ve decided:
- All new purchases of our themes will include 1 year’s worth of update and support. After the year is up, you’ll need to renew your license to continue receiving support and updates.
- Purchases made before today will receive 2 year’s worth of updates and support that the start date being today and not the original purchase date.
As we mentioned, moving to this business model was a tough decision, but we’re confident that doing this will allow us to provide better service and allow us to create more themes and products for you in the years ahead.
Yesss, auto theme updates
On a happy note, we are beyond excite to announce that our themes now come with Auto-update capabilities!
With this new feature, keeping FameThemes up-to-date will be as easy as the click of the mouse from without your website’s dashboard.
As of today, all old theme purchases have been assigned a license code which can be used to enable this auto-updating feature.
You’ll be able to find this code in the theme’s info page.
You will need to manually update your theme to the latest version and you will then be notified of a new page called Theme Dashboard under the Appearance admin menu. This page will shows an overview of the theme, a link to the theme’s online documentation, and the new auto-update tab.
Simply copy your license code from your Licenses page on FameThemes and paste it to the license input tab within your site, activate it and you will get a notice when the theme needs to be updated to the newest version.
Note: If you don’t use a Child theme, please make a full site backup before updating the theme to it’s latest version to avoid any loss to the data on your site. Even if you use a Child theme, we highly recommend doing regular backups of your website.
Codilight has been rewritten
Codilight is our most popular theme to date. With so many people using and loving our theme, we felt it was time to update it.
In version 2.0 of Codilight we’ve completely rewritten the theme to make it easier to use, have a faster page load time along with many more features you’re sure to love.
We will being writing a much more in-depth blog post about this later next week, but we were so hyped up about this release that we couldn’t help but mention it in this post.

We’ve been hard at work and don’t plan to give up on making more themes and providing better service to you.

Congrats Kein for this new look. I also want from you to add some more cool features in WP Coupon theme as well. Here are some most recommended and essential features required in order to sustain business in the current coupon industry.
1. Aggregate star ratings system on the store page that should show in google search results.
2. Cashback or extra reward system like https://www.coupondunia.in
3. Refer and earn feature.
4. Signup bounty or rewards.
5. Homepage slider like https://demo.mythemeshop.com/s/?theme=Coupon
6. Feature to withdraw users earned cashbacks to their bank account or paypal.
7. Store Carousel with hover effect to show total coupon counts and rewards.
8. Store or Category subscription feature.
9. Fixed widget when scrolling down.
10. Move to top script.
11. Login or Signup through social media accounts.
12. Coupon click tracking feature to record cashback.
13. Features to display or show ads or custom widgets between coupon listings.
14. Make homepage full width with parallel effects.
All these are most needed features. Please Kein update coupon theme with all above features.

Congratulations Kein. It would be great if you could modify WP Coupon theme? I’d like to recommended features that can be great for the coupon industry.
Ranking and rating of the store, Login through social media icons directly like Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Whatsapp etc and Signup offers and coupons something with the reward system, Carousel theme similar to https://www.grabon.in/ and a section to track the number of coupons used saved or copied, Section of reward or earn points.
But kein it is definitely great design looked forward to more additions.
